Holidays with children in Dąbki - what to do with the family at the seaside

Dąbki is one of those Baltic Sea destinations that's particularly well-suited for a holiday with children. This is due to the town's layout: on one side of a narrow spit of land lies a wide beach, and on the other, the calm, shallow Lake Bukowo. Furthermore, it boasts a spa-like, iodine-rich microclimate, perfect for children.

Safe beach

A wide, sandy beach with a gentle slope into the water is the foundation for a successful holiday with children. In 2020, the local swimming area was awarded the Blue Flag—an international certificate confirming water purity and a high level of safety. During the season, the swimming areas are monitored by lifeguards, and there is ample space to spread out a blanket.

Lake Bukowo for beginners

The shallow Lake Bukowo (up to about three meters deep) is calmer than the open sea, making it perfect for learning water sports. Older children and teenagers can try their first windsurfing lessons at the lakeside schools, while families can rent a kayak, pedal boat, or take a cruise on a small cruise ship.

If the weather isn't cooperating, it's worth a trip to Darłowo, about 10 km away. The Gothic castle of the Pomeranian Dukes and its museum is an attraction that will also appeal to children, and the port in Darłówek, with its fishing boats and drawbridge, always makes an impression.
